Big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my sister on the 1st. We actually celebrated last night at her friends (Bonnie’s)(1) social. Oh ya congrats to Bonnie too on her wedding plans. The social itself wasn’t too shabby either. It was held at Glenwood(2) so that was all the nostalgia needed for the night. That and Gorgeous Georges winning the texas! You know that’s a bad scene for May long(3) now.
Friday night was Kristen’s going away thing.(4) We all met at her uncle’s(5) for the “SURPRISE”. After some pretty heavy drinking we decided it would be fun to go to SAINTS ROLLER RINK for the 24 hour skate they were hosting. The highlight of the night was Kris’ dad Ernie who was the only one brave enough to strap on the roller skates and do a few laps (thanks to Timmy and I).
Today we play the Devils again at Sam Southern so check the Pistols site later for game summary(6).
(1) – Bonnie Ratte, Paul’s cousin. Wonder how she is doing. I made a post back in 2021 when my dad passed and she posted to it out of the blue. Always really liked Bonnie. Talked about how my dad used to drive them everywhere and how he would clean off her car in the winter.
(2) – I have shouted out GWood before but it was forsure my glory days.
(3) – I think we have pictures of George cuddled up to the texas out at Trish’s cabin. Look for that post later in the month!
(4) – Puncher has had more jobs than me. This one she was going to away to become a flight attendant.
(5) – Crocket, my dad’s best friend.
(6) – Timmy G just posted a link to all these old game summaries. Man we used to goon it up out there. JP and Ponch getting tossed out of games. Maybe I head butted a guy at some point. Roller hockey was bonkers back in those days.
